“X-CAPE” (ESCAPE) SHEBEENS

The Academy targets youths and adolescent early school leavers whose household main sources of income is either social grants from their parents/gurdians or income from the informal economy (such as shebeens/ open markets / mobile trading/ domestic work).

The academy aims to embrace the local culture of assisting each other to provide access to vocational training and multipurpose centre where youths , adolescent girls can benefit from simple yet transformative initiatives.

OUR TRAINEES

I am 38 years old, girl and unmarried. This year I took a decision to study the clothing production at Ongula – village Homestead. When I complete my studies and get my qualification, gaining more knowledge, I want to be a Namibian designer.

my own company.
